How to Use Versioning of Pages and Blog Posts in the CMS

    Prerequisite:

    • Access to Jumbo Lottery Platform (JLP) ClientCMS
    • Option to edit and create pages and blog posts

    1. Login to JLP ClientCMS

    Login to the JLP ClientCMS

    2. Click on the pages or the blog posts

    Click into Pages or Blog Posts and choose the specific item you’d like to create a new version of.

    3. Create a New Version

    Once you’re in the selected page or blog post, click on Main. From the dropdown menu, select Create a Version to start working on a new version of the content.

    Begin by giving your new page or blog post version a clear, distinct name making it easy to identify and manage later

    5. Save and Start Editing

    Click Save to lock in your new version, then you’re ready to start editing.

    Click on the Second Version to open and start editing the newly created version of the page or blog post.

    6. Promote Version to Main

    When you’re ready to go live with your new version, click Promote Version. This will publish the selected version, replacing the current main page or blog post.

    7. Review and Promote Version

    Before promoting, you’ll be prompted to review the new version alongside the main version. You’ll also see a summary of the changes made so you can double-check everything before making it live.

    8. Keep or Delete the Previous Version

    Once you’ve promoted the new version live, a pop-up will prompt you to either keep the previous version (the former main version) or delete it. You can choose to retain it as a separate copy for further editing, or delete it to reduce duplication.
