Overview
Previously, once a main prize draw winner had been selected and published, End of Draw Tools users were unable to update the main prize winner's details. While the winning number must remain locked to ensure the end of draw process is auditable, the associated winner information is free text and varies in format across Jumbo Lottery Platform (JLP) clients.
When updates or corrections were required such as formatting adjustments, typographical errors, or missing information, clients were required to raise a support ticket. These requests were then escalated to Engineering, who manually updated the winner details across databases. This process introduced operational inefficiencies and led to avoidable delays.
What's New
With the latest enhancements to the End of Draw Tools, we’ve introduced a more efficient and flexible solution:
The "Edit Published Details" button is now available within the details section of a published main prize winner.
- This functionality enables JLP admins to directly edit winner information such as name formatting, suburb, or other descriptive text without altering the fixed draw result or winning number.
- These edits support consistency with individual JLP client standards for how winner details are displayed.
