Overview
A new enhancement has been released on the Jumbo Lottery Platform (JLP) to make manual transaction tracking clearer and more consistent.
Previously, the Internal Comment field in the Manual Deposit and Manual Withdrawal flows only supported free text, which often led to inconsistent data and made reconciliation and reporting more difficult.
This update introduces configurable dropdown options for transaction reasons improving accuracy, audibility, and the overall quality of financial reporting.
What’s Changed
Dropdown Replaces Free Text
The Internal Comment field now features a dropdown menu with predefined reasons for each transaction.
This ensures every manual deposit and withdrawal is recorded with a clear, standardised purpose.
Flexible Configuration
- If presets are added, the dropdown options will appear automatically.
- If no presets are configured, the field will continue to operate as a free text input.
- Configuration path: Admin site → Operations → Site config → Admin Manual Transaction Reason Presets
- If an “Other” preset is added and the config value ‘Selecting “Other” preset displays a free text field’ (under Admin Manual Transaction Reason Presets in Site config) is set to true, selecting “Other” will display an additional free text input.
Consistent Data for Reporting
All manual admin transactions will now flow through to reporting in a consistent, structured format — improving data reliability and clarity across reconciliation and auditing processes.
Why This Change Was Made
This improvement ensures all manual transactions have a clear, auditable reason recorded.
By standardising transaction reason entry, it reduces manual errors, simplifies reconciliation, and enhances financial reporting accuracy.
Examples of Deposit and Withdrawal Reasons
Administrators can now select from predefined lists of reasons to improve clarity and consistency.
Deposit examples: Ex-Gratia, Partial Deposit, Internal Transfer, Fund Amendment, Other
Withdrawal examples: Partial Refund, Deceased Account, Deposit Reversal, Eway, Other
How This Affects JLP Partners
- Improved clarity: Manual deposits and withdrawals are now more structured and easier to review in reports.
- Optional change: The dropdown system is opt-in — if no presets are configured, the existing free text field remains available.
- Minimal disruption: Existing workflows will continue unchanged for partners who don’t enable the new settings.
- Better insights: When enabled, this update provides more accurate and standardised data for reconciliation and audit purposes.
