Introducing Configurable Signup on the Jumbo Lottery Platform (JLP)

    A simpler, faster signup experience for your supporters

    We’re excited to share a new enhancement to the Jumbo Lottery Platform (JLP)  -Configurable Signup - designed to give partners greater flexibility and control over customer registration requirements.

    This feature was developed in response to feedback from partners who told us that many supporters are hesitant to provide their full date of birth or address when purchasing a lottery ticket. By allowing these fields to be adjusted, you can create a smoother, faster signup experience while still meeting your compliance obligations.

    What’s new

    With Configurable Signup, JLP administrators can now tailor which customer details are collected during signup and when updating personal information. This helps streamline the experience for supporters and reduce friction during registration.

    Administrators with site configuration permissions can manage the signup form directly in JLP Admin.

    Key capabilities

    • Choose which fields are required, optional, or hidden for:
      • Phone number
      • Date of birth (DOB)
      • Address details
    • Select an address format that best suits your needs:
      • Residential — allows customers to enter a full address (with Google Autocomplete)
      • Country/State — lets customers select their country, and if applicable, a state

    These options sit under the capability CORE_CAPABILITY_MINIMUM_CUSTOMER_VALIDATION and are currently available for configuration on the web platform.

    Please note: The Configurable Signup feature applies to web only. Mobile apps (iOS and Android) will continue to require all standard fields.

    Why it matters

    This update helps partners:

    • Streamline the signup journey for supporters
    • Reduce the number of required fields for ticket purchases
    • Support compliance requirements without unnecessary complexity
    • Improve conversion rates by removing barriers during signup

    Things to note

    • Individual address fields (e.g. postcode, suburb) cannot be configured separately in JLP Admin — changes apply to the entire address section.
    • For advanced configuration (e.g. making Address Line 2 optional), overrides can be applied in Consul.
