Default message values now visible in translation editor

When customising translated messages in the Jumbo Lottery Platform (JLP), you can now see the default message text directly alongside each translation field - no need to contact your Customer Success Manager to track down the original wording.

    Why this matters

Many translatable messages include dynamic placeholders - for example, {sender} in a gifting message like "{sender} has sent you a gift!" Operators customising these messages need to know which placeholders exist so their translations work correctly. Previously, the default message was not visible in the editor, which meant operators had to ask Customer Success, who then had to ask Engineering.

    What's new

Default message values shown in the translation editor

The translation interface now displays the original default message alongside each field you are editing. This gives you a clear reference point when writing a custom translation, including any dynamic parameters you need to preserve.

    • Placeholders like {sender} are visible in the default message so you know exactly which variables to include in your version
    • No external requests or workarounds are needed to find the original wording
    • The default value appears for all formatted messages that are translatable

    Where to find it

Navigate to Admin > Content > Translations and open any translatable message. The default value will appear alongside the input field.
