See how your promotions are performing

Promotion data now flows through to reporting, so you can see exactly how many tickets a promotion sold and how many bonus tickets it handed out.

    Why this matters

When a supporter bought tickets under a promotion, we recorded the sale but not the promotion behind it. A promoted purchase and an ordinary one looked identical in reporting. That made it impossible to tell whether a promotion had worked, or how much of a draw's volume it was responsible for.

Promotions now carry through to reporting the same way ticket sales always have.

    What's new

    Questions you can now answer

    • How many tickets did this promotion sell?
    • How many of those were bonus tickets rather than paid ones?
    • What share of the draw's volume came from promoted purchases?
    • Which promotions pulled the most volume, and which barely moved?
    • How did the same promotion perform across two different draws?

What we now capture against each sale

Every purchase made under a promotion records which promotion was applied and how many bonus tickets it generated. Purchases made without one are unchanged, so nothing you already report on is affected.

Alongside that, each promotion now carries its own details: the type of promotion it is, the multiplier, the minimum cart value that triggers it, and the base number of tickets.

    Promotion codes

Reporting at promotion code level is not part of the standard set, but it is available. Ask your Customer Success Manager and we will arrange it.

    Who this applies to

This covers the three promotion types that change the number of tickets a supporter receives: ticket multipliers, free ticket multipliers, and complimentary ticket rewards.

Note: If you already run these promotions, your existing data has been backfilled and is ready to look at. If you have not run one yet, there is nothing to see until you do — the reporting is in place and will start filling from your first promoted purchase.
