Other Useful Information On Segments:
- Segment stats are calculated based on a random sample with a 95% confidence interval that the result is within +/- 1%. The larger your user base is, the more likely it is that the size of your segment is a rough estimate. To calculate the exact number of users in your segment, without any rounding, click Calculate Exact Statistics on the Segment Details page.
- Targeting Using Filters (And/Or) – keep a lookout when layering multiple filters on top of each other. The And/Or logic can get confusing. In general, if you want to include segments use OR. If you want to exclude segments use AND. Excluding is a negative of “does not equal.” We need to use ANDs so that the logic goes through each rule against the user, whereas in the OR negative logic, once one rule is matched, it includes the user no matter the other rules.
TIP: When setting the filter, review your numbers to confirm if the total users to be captured is smaller or larger than what you expect.
