    Code Of Conduct

PBJ Slack is a shared community. Any communication, documents uploaded or images shared in a public Slack channel is viewable by all Powered by Jumbo users.

    Mission

PBJ Slack community is a community of professionals committed to creating better human connections with their peers. When we harness the collective brainpower of like-minded allies who share similar goals and challenges, we equip ourselves to be better, lottery managers, marketers, technology gurus, and grow our prospective lotteries.

    What We Are

PBJ Slack is a place to gather together and share our stories. It serves as an informal yet intentional setting where we can connect on a deeper level, whether that means celebrating our victories, commiserating over our struggles, pondering the big questions, or quipping about the little ones. The PBJ slack channel was created to foster just that, and the more people contribute, the greater the community will be.

Specifically, this community is a place to:

    • Learn and share best practices. This is your place to talk shop! Source inspiration from other users, let others draw inspiration from you and discuss together new developments in the lottery space together.
    • Level-up your utilization of the PBJ platform. Need to talk to a PBJ expert? Consider this your lifeline! Exchange tips, tricks, and workarounds directly with PBJ customer success managers and fellow community members to get the most out of the PBJ platform.
    • Network with your peers and industry professionals. Share resources and advice on growing your career with other members of the field.

    What We’re Not

It’s just as crucial in defining what our community is to establish what it is not.

    • A technical support channel. Our Technical Support specialists are best-in-class, and always ready and willing to help our customers, but are not actively monitoring this channel. Rather than post in the community with your technical question, review our documentation or create a support ticket via our knowledge base or by emailing support@poweredbyjumbo.com. Alternatively, if you have one, reach out to your Customer Success Manager.
    • A vendor marketplace. Please don’t use the community as a platform to advance your own commercial interests. Keep messages focused on adding value as opposed to self-promotion. Moreover, no spam, please.
    • A legal advisory board. The field is riddled with matters of sensitivity and compliance, and those topics are certainly fair game for discussion in the community. That said, information shared by PBJ team members or other community members must not be construed as official legal counsel.

    Community Guidelines

There are a few general rules of thumb to keep in mind as you engage within the community.

    • The Chatham House Rule. All community members must follow the Chatham House Rule, which is a policy embraced by political groups, local governments, commercial organizations, and research institutions the world over.
    • The Golden Rule. You know the one: “do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” We hope this goes without saying, but please make sure everything you post is relevant, constructive, well-intentioned, kind, and respectful. Harassment or bullying of any kind will not be tolerated and can result in your removal from the community.

    Slack Guidelines

We’ll be using Slack as a platform for the community. Here is some helpful etiquette to abide by:

    • Don’t @channel or @here if not 100% necessary. Just… don’t be that person.
    • Refrain from sending unsolicited DMs.
    • Use threads to contain conversations. This will keep discussions organized and make managing and referencing back to conversations on a singular topic much more straight-forward.

    • Follow the “no hello” rule. Try to keep your posts on a single topic to a single message. This will keep our conversations organized.

    • Limit posting the same message in multiple channels. If you have a question or want to start a conversation, choose the channel that seems most relevant based on the topic and post it there

    How To Report An Incident

If you feel someone has violated the code of conduct or is otherwise behaving in a way that you find inappropriate, please contact the community administrators immediately.
