This article will provide a step-by-step guide on how to create a cart placement.
Cart placements in Jumbo Lottery Platform ( JLP) admin allows marketing and JLP operators to cross-sell products for better conversions. Cart placements can be used as a product recommendation engine which is linked to open draws with pre-filled data to simplify the setup process.

Placement Conditions

A placement can be created for a draw that has been created in JLP admin and set to ‘Open’

A placement should only appear if the target draw is available (not closed or sold out)

A placement should auto re-appear if the target draw has been closed and then gets reopened

A placement should appear if the target draw IS NOT an item in the customer’s cart
1. Login To JLP Admin
Begin by logging into the JLP Admin platform with your username and password.
2. Navigate To Content + Marketing In JLP Admin
Select ‘Content + Marketing’ from the toolbar at the top of the admin panel.
3. Navigate To Cart Placements
Select ‘Placements’ from the left toolbar and then select ‘Cart placement’ from the dropdown menu.
4. Creating A Cart Placement
There are two types of cart placements that can be created: basic & dynamic.
Basic placements exist for the length of the draw and will disappear when the draw closes. They can be edited or disabled at any time.
Dynamic placements do everything a basic placement does, but also includes the ability to set three unique titles that will display throughout different periods of a draw.
Basic Placement
Select the ‘Create a new placement’ button in blue.
Select the target draw for the new cart placement.
After selecting the relevant target draw, a content field will appear.
The information within the content field will autofill with information related to the selected target draw. Beneath ‘Select cart placement type’ the basic placement type will be selected by default.
Basic cart placements have editable content which includes:
- Message text
- Incentive text
- Button text
- Modal title
- Ticket book option 1
- Ticket book option 2
- Ticket book option 3
Edit any of the auto-filled information related to the basic cart placement.
Click the blue ‘Create Placement’ button to create the basic placement

Dynamic Placement
Select the ‘Create a new placement’ button in blue.
Select the target draw for the new cart placement.
The information within the content field will autofill with information related to the selected target draw. Select the ‘Dynamic item’ option for the cart placement type.
Basic cart placements have editable content which includes:
- First message & date the message is displayed till
- Second message & date the message is displayed till
- Third message & date the message is displayed till
- Incentive text
- Button text
- Modal title
- Ticket book option 1
- Ticket book option 2
- Ticket book option 3
Edit any of the auto-filled information related to the dynamic cart placement.
Click the blue ‘Create Placement’ button to create the dynamic placement.
5. Prioritise Cart Placements
Navigate to the Content + Marketing page on JLP Admin and select ‘Placements’ from the left toolbar and then select ‘Cart placement’ from the dropdown menu.
A list of active cart placements will be displayed. Placements are prioritised and offered to customers based on the order of the items.
Dynamic placements have a blue tag so they can be easily differentiated. Disabled items will be greyed out.
You can edit this order by dragging the placement items.
Customers will not see placements for draws that are already in their cart.
6. Edit A Cart Placement
Navigate to the list of active cart placements.
Locate the relevant cart placement and select ‘Edit item’.
The cart placement editing page is very similar to the cart placement creation page.
Enter the relevant information you wish to edit for the cart placement and preview your changes at the bottom of the page.
Click on the blue ‘Publish changes’ button when finished editing.
Placement types cannot be converted between basic and dynamic.
7. Disable Or Enable A Cart Placement
Navigate to the list of active placements. Locate the relevant cart placement and select ‘Disable’ on the right.
The cart placement will now be greyed out. To re-enable the cart placement, click ‘Enable’.
