What Is The Banned Country List
The purpose of the Banned Country register is to prevent countries with restrictions surrounding online gambling transactions, this can be due to laws or legislation surrounding responsible gambling, anti-money laundering purposes or evidence of fraud.
How To View The Banned Country List
To view the Banned Country List, first select the “Operations” option from the top toolbar. From the left toolbar select “restrictions”, in this drop-down menu choose the “Banned countries” option.
This will show a current listing of all banned countries within the JLP. This will list will show the name of the country as well as the 2 character ISO code e.g. Australia AU, United States US.
How To Identify A Banned Country Sign-Up
Upon registration, a customer will be required to provide their country of residence. If this country is registered on the Banned Country List it will not appear as an option for the customer to select. This will in most cases prevent the customer from registering an account.
If a customer has used an unbanned country as their address, but their IP address reads as located within a banned country the customer’s account will be automatically locked. This will be evident by an event on the customer’s account as follows
This will prompt the customer to contact your support team to regain access.
At this stage, it lies with your organisation’s policies with regards to whether you can allow the account to remain locked or initiate an unlock on the account and allow the customer to play.
