This article demonstrates how to enable, use and manage two-factor authentication (2FA) for Jumbo Lottery Platform (JLP) Admin users. Two-factor authentication adds an extra layer of security to protect sensitive information and prevent unauthorised access.
Prerequisites
- Two-Factor Authentication enabled on your JLP instance
- A JLP Admin account with Two-Factor Authentication enabled
- A third-party authentication application
How To Enable Two-Factor Authentication
1. Navigate To Account Settings
Click on your account name in the top right of JLP Admin, and then select Account Settings.
2. Select Two-Factor Authentication
Click on Two-factor Authentication from the left toolbar on the Account Settings page.
3. Enable Two-Factor Authentication
Click on the blue Enable two-factor authentication button.
4. Add JLP to your Two-Factor Authenticate app
A pop-up window will appear, detailing examples of third-party authentication apps that can be used.
Once your preferred authentication app is ready, do the following:
- Scan the QR code using the authentication app, or manually enter the code to link the 2FA app to JLP Admin
- Enter the two-factor authentication code from the app into JLP Admin
5. Click Enable
Two-factor authentication is now enabled on your JLP Admin account.
How To Disable Two-Factor Authentication
1. Navigate To Account Settings
Click on your account name in the top right of JLP Admin, and then select Account Settings.
2. Select Two-Factor Authentication
Click on Two-factor Authentication from the left toolbar on the Account Settings page.
3. Click the Disable two-factor authentication button.
4. Authenticate your username and password
Enter in your JLP Admin username and password, and click Confirm.
Two-factor authentication is now disabled.
Log In Using Two-Factor Authentication
1. Enter your Username and Password.
2. Enter the Verification Code
After entering your JLP Admin username and password, you will be prompted for a two-factor authentication code.
Open the two-factor authentication app linked to JLP Admin and look for the two-factor authentication code. Enter the two-factor authentication code into JLP Admin.
There will be an option to remember this device for 30 days. Remembering a device for 30 days allows you to log in without needing a two-factor authentication code on that device, for 30 days.
3. Click on the blue Continue button to log in.
